Our mission is simple: to give people of all ages and abilities an opportunity to experience music like never before. Founded in April 2004 by Matt Kaplan, Backyard Jams provides recreational band programs and rock 'n roll themed birthday parties, events and corporate team building programs. Everything we do involves collaborative music making, allowing people with even no musical abilities to experience success in a very short time.

Backyard Jams ensemble programs provide recreational musicians a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of playing, writing, recording and performing music with others. We enable budding musicians to explore their own musical interests and talents and provide opportunities to play with other kids, discover original composition, and expand their musical repertoire. For adults, Backyard Jams is about having fun playing music. We take the effort out of finding people to play with and provide a fully configured rehearsal space where amateur musicians have an outlet to plug in and let loose after a long day in the office. Our ensemble programs are led by musicians experienced in all facets of musical performance, composition, and production.

Backyard Jams rock 'n roll themed birthday parties, events and corporate team building programs are a fun and unique way to explore music without any prior experience. We provide all the instruments, lighting and direction needed to feel like a rock star for a day. You'll get to experience playing a new instrument, jamming in a band, designing band T-shirts, and making a music video.
